What it’s like

As a software developer you will design and build computer programs. You will be working on all sorts of projects from databases to mobile apps.
Sometimes you may write a new computer program from scratch and you will also use you coding skills to to meet the needs of you projects. You will also be working closely with the project manager and the client
starting off the job you could be making £30,000 a year and more experienced could be making £75,000 a year
What you will be doing
-Talking to the client and the rest if the development team to establish there needs
-writing test versions of the computer program
-Testing the program and fixing any bugs or problems you find
-carrying out quality checks before the program launches
-maintaining and updating the software after it launches to fix issues and add new features
